Meet Spike, Spike is 5 months old and has left that curled up newborn baby phase to become a smiley, bubbly little baby boy. Those milestones are now coming thick and fast, and every day brings something new.
Finding his feet and sitting up
Spike has been sitting up for a good month now, but we still surround him with cushions as he does have the odd wobble. He has also found his feet and holds and plays with them at any given opportunity.
Although Spike is attempting the commando crawl he favours, and has mastered rolling to get to where he wants. His big sister finds this very amusing, but it makes nappy changes that bit more challenging!
Spike will be 6 months in 2 weeks and has so far been exclusively breastfed. We decided to let him have some first tastes this week and began weaning. He has tried apple and pear so far and his facial expressions when experiencing these first tastes were priceless! I think he is going to enjoy his food!
This month also brought with it Spike’s first passport, 8 hour flight and beach holiday. He was simply amazing on the flight and loved the sea, sand and pool too. Returning from the 30 degree heat we were greeted by snow in the UK!
It has been a very eventful 5th month for Spike, with many more to come! So please do pop back and keep up with “What I’m doing now”
