Tried and tested: Content and Calm Traykit

TrayKit - Susan

Travelling can be tough with children, whether it is on a plane, a train or in a car. With babies, they will usually sleep their way through most of it. With toddlers, you can amuse them with snacks, books and the odd toy. I find pre-schoolers and young school age children can get bored very easily when travelling, unless they have some kind of games console and as much as I like them on the occasion, I would rather they had other options. This is where the Tray Kit comes in.
This little backpack is amazing; it can be easily carried by the child or the parent to the train, car or aeroplane. It fits easily onto the shoulders of the child or has a handle to be carried. Inside there are many little pockets to keep all sorts of treasures. We put in some colouring pencils, a toy mobile, you never know who might be calling, a toy monkey, some paper, a note pad, a little snack bar and had a little pink soft toy hanging from one of the hooks at the side. There is also a mirror and plenty more space to fit in lots more goodies.
We took ours for a try out car trip into Glasgow. My just turned five year old loved it, he packed it all up and put it on his back and out into the car we went. The Tray Kit comes with straps which fit easily over any chair allowing it to be hooked on to the back of the car seat, or the train seat and rested on the table or even the aeroplane chair and table. Making it versatile for any sort of travelling. We got it hooked on and away he went. Opening it up to look at all the toys he had stored inside.
The bottom trays opens out into a longer table allowing the child to sit back in their seat and have a table in front of them without having to lean forward. This proved fantastic when it came to allowing him to draw pictures during the journey. No need to worry about the pencils rolling off the side and a distraught child with no colouring in tools, as the sides come up holding everything on the tray in place. It is all secured with Velcro so easy to setup and take back down. All surfaces are wipe clean, which is a bonus when some juice is spilled on it. It all cleaned up no problem at all.
When we got to our destination, he closed up the Tray Kit and took it with him. Then back out again on the home journey. We have used it time and time again. Even for short journeys, it’s so easy to put out and close up again.

I would highly recommend the Tray Kit for anyone with children of preschool or primary school age. It is easy to use, quick to setup and the children love it. You can keep so many items together and keep the children occupied for hours and in any location. I cannot recommend this enough.
